Mir hat das Buch sehr gut gefallen. Und das von der ersten bis zur letzten Seite. Dem Autor ist es gelungen mehrere Handlungsstränge geschickt miteinander zu verknüpfen. In unterschiedlichen Regionen der Welt wird die Geschichte aus Sicht der jeweils Handelnden beschrieben. Spannend und unterhaltsam erzählt und dabei auch sehr viel Mühe und Fantasie in die Details links und rechts des roten Pfades eingebaut und dabei nie den Selbigen verloren. Ich hatte nie den Eindruck, dass es sich um Fliessbandarbeit handelt, wie es gelegentlich ja vorkommt. Also unbedingt lesenswert und deshalb von mir eine uneingeschränkte Empfehlung.
Beinahe hätte ich dieses Buch nicht gelesen. Viele der Rezessionen machten den Eindruck, dass sich die Spannung in dem Buch alleine aus ungelösten technischen Problemen entwickeln könnte. Weit gefehlt, dies ist ein richtig packender Agententhriller mit vielen Wendungen, Überraschungen und tatsächlich auch jeder Menge Action. Ich finde es daher sogar sehr angenehm, dass die technischen Beschreibungen im Buch auf einem für jeden verständlichen Niveau bleiben (zugegeben bin ich vorbelastet, da ich selbst in der IT arbeite). Technische Unzulänglichkeiten sind daher sogar gewollt und sollten nicht von jedem Security-Spezialisten seziert werden. Ich fühlte mich glänzend unterhalten und kann das Buch ohne Einschränkung empfehlen.

Excellent read as always
Für mich war es eines der schlechtesten Bücher, die ich je gelesen habe. Und das nicht nur, weil ich Informatik studiert habe und sich mir an vielen Stellen die Fußnägel aufgerollt haben. Selbst wenn man es schafft, den technischen Unsinn zu ignorieren, den Brown da verzapft, es ist handwerklich einfach schlecht. Finger weg und lieber was anderes lesen.
Habe das Buch durchgelesen in einem Tag - ohne Pause außer zum kurzen Essen. Es ist so packend, fast die ganze Zeit Herzklopfen!

die Geschichte zieht sich in die Länge und ist einfach nicht nachvollziehbar. Zu viele Handlungsfehler - schade, das kann er besser.
